The short answer
Type your store's address below and we'll tell you in a few seconds whether Spambuster is switched on and which forms it checks. Then send yourself one message and watch it appear in your Event Log.
Check my store
We look at your store's home page the way a visitor does, so you don't need to log in. It takes a few seconds.
The badge in Spambuster
Protected
Spambuster is switched on in your live theme, and your key is set up.
Not protected
Usually Spambuster is switched off in your theme. Click Turn on protection, then Save. It takes about a minute. Step by step.
"Can't check" means we couldn't read your theme just now. Look for yourself: Online Store, Themes, Customize, App embeds, and check "reCAPTCHA Spambuster" is on.
Send yourself a test 1 min
- Open your store in a private windowSo you visit it the way a customer does.
- Send your contact formAny short message will do. Note the time.
- Open Spambuster, then Event LogWithin a minute, a new Contact row appears with that time, a score and Result Pass. That's Spambuster checking a real person and letting them through. Reading your Event Log.
No row after a couple of minutes? Spambuster isn't running on that page. Check the badge above, and if it says Protected, write to us: we'll look at that page with you.
Reading the numbers
Each submission gets a score from 0 (almost certainly a bot) to 1 (almost certainly a person); the Event Log shows it as a percentage, so 0.9 is 90.0%. Anything above your threshold is let through; anything at or below it is stopped. You can't easily make yourself look like a bot, and you don't need to: the bots will show up on their own as Result Fail.
